Chemical Engineering Students Win Top 7 and Most Favorite Video Profile at ICRCC 2022

The Antasari Kairos team from the Chemical Engineering Bachelor's Program, under the guidance of Aditya Kurniawan, M.T., achieved remarkable success by securing Top 7 and Most Favorite Video Profile awards at the Indonesia Chemical Reaction Car Competition (ICRCC) 2022.
The Chemical Engineering Innovation Festival (Chernival) is the largest annual festival organized by the Chemical Engineering Department at Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya. With the theme “Discharging Innovation through Youth Collaboration”, the competition was held in two sessions. The first session, which involved presentations and inspections, took place on Thursday–Friday, May 27–28, 2022, while the second session, the race competition, was held on Saturday, May 29, 2022, virtually via Zoom Meeting.
The Antasari Kairos team consisted of Zaki Hasan Nur Rohman (2018) as the team leader, along with other members: M. Agung Izzulhaq (2019), Rafi Sianjanna Putra (2018), Alnamas Yoga Saputra (2018), Thalita Qothrunnada Imani (2019), and Puput Yugiani (2020).
Zaki Hasan Nur Rohman explained that Antasari Kairos is the 5th-generation car of the Antasari team, which operates using a gas pressure system powered by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The environmental aspects considered in the design of Antasari Kairos include ensuring that it does not produce pollutants, does not contribute to the greenhouse effect, and is non-toxic.
Students from the Chemical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Engineering (FTI) at the University of Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY) have won 2nd place in the National Writing Competition Agricultural Food Competition Season 16, held at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. This UPNVY student team presented an innovation titled ECOWRAP: An Eco-Friendly Biodegradable Wrapping Film Based on Water Hyacinth and Corn Cobs to Extend the Shelf Life of Fruits and Vegetables.

This research is led by Dr. Heri Septya Kusuma, S.Si., M.T., together with four students: Aurelio Muhammad Saleemah Agung, Najla Anira Putri, Muhamad Shifu, and Nafisa Illiyanasafa.
