8 Students from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering Selected for Kampus Mengajar Batch 2 Program

Following the success of the Kampus Mengajar Batch 1 program in 2021, the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) Kemendikbudristek has launched the Kampus Mengajar Batch 2 program. This program aims to improve the quality of education in elementary schools (SD) and junior high schools (SMP) in 3T areas (underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost regions).
A total of 87 students from UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta successfully passed the selection for the Kampus Mengajar Batch 2 program. Among them, 8 are students from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, namely Nur Prangawayu, Erika Amanda Syafitri, Fadhil Giwangkara Wijayadi, Tika Puspitasari, P.H. Can Enjoy Simbolon, Alifia Rahma De Anissa Nurilmi Abidin, Raden Rara Lydia Devina Syantasyacitta, and Lisa Anis Safitri.
Through this program, students are given the opportunity to directly contribute to the education sector, especially in 3T areas, while developing leadership and creativity skills, as well as making a positive impact on teachers and students in those regions.
Students from the Chemical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Engineering (FTI) at the University of Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY) have won 2nd place in the National Writing Competition Agricultural Food Competition Season 16, held at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. This UPNVY student team presented an innovation titled ECOWRAP: An Eco-Friendly Biodegradable Wrapping Film Based on Water Hyacinth and Corn Cobs to Extend the Shelf Life of Fruits and Vegetables.
Lebih LanjutA research team from the Chemical Engineering Department of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta has successfully developed an innovative eco-cement made from eggshells and water hyacinth, which is environmentally friendly and has the potential to be a construction material of the future. This research is led by Dr. Heri Septya Kusuma, S.Si., M.T., together with four students: Aurelio Muhammad Saleemah Agung, Najla Anira Putri, Muhamad Shifu, and Nafisa Illiyanasafa.
