UPDATE SISTER to Support IKU-PTN
Yogyakarta, 4 Desember 2024
The Minister of Education and Culture’s Decree Number 754/P/2020 marks a significant step in the transformation of higher education in Indonesia, with a focus on improving the quality and performance of universities. The Merdeka Campus policy, outlined in the Minister of Education and Culture’s Regulation Number 22 of 2020, opens opportunities for students to develop competencies through experiences outside the campus, strengthens engagement with the industry, and prepares graduates to be more ready to face the workforce.
To support the development of higher education, the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Strategic Plan for 2020-2024 targets three main objectives:
Achievements in higher education will be assessed through the Key Performance Indicators for State Universities (IKU-PTN), which include the quality of graduates, lecturers, and curricula. To achieve these goals, universities need to innovate, one of which is through the use of technology-based applications.
As part of this effort, the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVYK) held a socialization event on the Nakula and Sadewa applications on December 4, 2024. These two applications, developed by UPNVYK, play a key role in supporting the SISTER System (Integrated Resource Information System), which simplifies the management of academic data and university performance. Through these applications, it is hoped that universities will be able to more efficiently monitor the achievement of IKU-PTN.
The event featured two expert speakers: Rifki Indra Perwira, S.Kom., M.Eng. (Head of UPT TIK UPNVYK) and Dhimas Arief Dharmawan, S.T., Ph.D. (Head of the Intellectual Property & Publication Center). They discussed in-depth the benefits of the Nakula and Sadewa applications in supporting a more integrated higher education system.
With the Nakula and Sadewa applications, UPNVYK can more effectively manage and monitor various operational and academic aspects. These applications support the achievement of IKU-PTN, which in turn will increase transparency, accountability, and strengthen the quality of education provided to students.
This socialization event is crucial to ensure that all elements of the university can adapt to the latest technologies in order to achieve higher-quality education that is relevant to the needs of the workforce.
