IFusion Team from UPN Veteran Yogyakarta Wins 3rd Place in National Business Plan Competition

Yogyakarta, May 18, 2024 – The IFusion team from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) has once again achieved remarkable success. Comprising Dennys Ilham Sugiarto (Development Economics), Hani Aprilia Astusi (Soil Science), and Amorette Garentta Lasmana (Industrial Engineering), they secured 3rd place at the National Environmental Expo 2024, organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, from April 26-28, 2024.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Ismianti, S.T., M.Sc., the IFusion team presented their innovation "GENI-VENT", a solution to combat the increasing greenhouse gas emissions. GENI-VENT is a device designed to enhance carbon dioxide combustion efficiency, converting it into oxygen to improve indoor air quality.
“We were inspired by the growing concern over greenhouse gas emissions and their environmental impact,” said Dennys Ilham Sugiarto, one of the IFusion team members. “GENI-VENT provides an easy-to-apply and affordable solution to reduce vehicle exhaust emissions.”
Furthermore, Hani Aprilia Astusi and Amorette Garentta added, “We hope GENI-VENT can be widely implemented and benefit society in preserving the environment. We believe that with collective efforts, we can build a greener and more sustainable future.”
This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the IFusion team in developing innovative solutions to environmental issues. UPNVY is proud of this accomplishment and remains committed to supporting its students in developing their potential and achieving success across various fields.
Students from the Chemical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Engineering (FTI) at the University of Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY) have won 2nd place in the National Writing Competition Agricultural Food Competition Season 16, held at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. This UPNVY student team presented an innovation titled ECOWRAP: An Eco-Friendly Biodegradable Wrapping Film Based on Water Hyacinth and Corn Cobs to Extend the Shelf Life of Fruits and Vegetables.
