Socialization and Inauguration of the Integrity Zone for Corruption-Free Area / Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area at UPN 'Veteran' Yogyakarta

The implementation of the Integrity Zone for Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area (WBBM) at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta officially began on December 20, 2024. This event was marked by a gong ceremony performed by the Rector of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. Mohamad Irhas Efendi, M.Si, together with the Deans of Faculties, invited guests, and a speaker from the Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Prof. Ir. Selo, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng.
This step is part of the university’s commitment to creating an environment free from corruption and ensuring an efficient, transparent bureaucracy that serves the public to the best of its ability. With the Integrity Zone, it is hoped that UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta can continue to improve the quality of services for students, staff, and the community, as well as support sustainable development within the campus environment.
The development of the Integrity Zone did not begin in 2024, but has been implemented gradually since 2010. The bureaucratic reform process within UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta has been carried out to create a more transparent, accountable system, free from corruption. With an ongoing commitment to improvement, the university hopes to continually enhance public service quality and serve as a model for other educational institutions in terms of integrity and professional service.
It is hoped that with the implementation of the Integrity Zone, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta will continue to advance, be free from corruption, and become a trusted institution that provides greater benefits to the entire academic community and society.
