Industrial Engineering Department at UPNVY Holds Industrial Engineering Conference 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to the world. In order to prevent the spread of the virus, people worldwide have been urged to maintain social distancing and avoid gatherings. The COVID-19 pandemic has directly impacted all aspects of life, including the industrial world. Industrial engineering is a field with a very broad scope, covering design, installation, and improvement of integrated systems consisting of humans, materials, information, equipment, and energy. Additionally, industrial engineering is one of the aspects of life affected by the rapid changes in the new normal era due to the pandemic.
In response to COVID-19, the Industrial Engineering Department at UPN Veteran Yogyakarta organized the annual event, the "Industrial Engineering Conference 2020," held online on Saturday, November 21, 2020.
The event was opened by the Rector of UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, Dr. M. Irhas Effendi, M.S., followed by a webinar session featuring speakers Ir. Nur Indrianti, M.T., D.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng., a lecturer at the Industrial Engineering Department, UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, and Dr. Eng. Titis Wijayanto, S.T., M.Eng., a lecturer at the Industrial Engineering Department of UGM and the secretary of the Indonesian Ergonomics Association.
The theme of IEC 2020 was "Industrial Engineering Perspectives in the New Normal Era." The speakers discussed various topics, including changes in behavior post-pandemic, how developed countries implemented policies to handle COVID-19, and new habits related to ergonomics.
IEC 2020 was attended by over 300 participants from various regions, including Riau, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, North Sumatra, West Kalimantan, DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, DIY, and East Java. After the first webinar session concluded, the event continued with a paper presentation session involving 47 presenters from various universities across Indonesia.

Industrial Engineering of UPNVY Hosts International Seminar ICEOMIA
The Industrial Engineering Department of UPN Veteran Yogyakarta hosted an International Seminar on Saturday, October 29, 2022. The seminar, titled the 1st International Conference on Engineering Optimization and Management in Industrial Applications (ICEOMIA 2022), carried the theme "Advancement of Optimization, Engineering Technology, and Management for a Sustainable Environment."

Industrial Engineering Department Holds National Seminar and Workshop PPIC 2021
The Industrial Engineering Student Association (HMTI) of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta held the Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC) 2021 event on November 20 and 21, 2021. PPIC is a national seminar regularly organized by HMTI since 2009. This year, PPIC was conducted online through the Zoom Meeting platform, featuring keynote speaker Mrs. Nur Indrianti, Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, along with three guest speakers: R. Bambang Irawan, General Manager of PPIC at PT Phapros, Nandi Julyanto, Vice President Director of PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, and Utari Meitridasari, Department Head of PPIC at PT Tirta Fresindo Jaya (Mayora Group) Palembang.

HMTI UPNVY Holds Entrepreneurship Webinar to Increase Student Motivation as Entrepreneurs
The Entrepreneurship Webinar is one of the programs carried out by the Industrial Engineering Student Association (HMTI) of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta. The 2020 Entrepreneurship Webinar was held on Sunday, November 8, 2020. The theme of the 2020 Entrepreneurship Webinar was "Starting To Learn How To Make an Attractive Business Proposal." More than 150 participants from various universities in Indonesia joined the event.
