Scientific Writing Training for Reputable Journal Publication (Part 2)

The Faculty of Industrial Engineering held a training session on scientific writing for publication in reputable journals (advanced level) on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at the Informatics Seminar Room at 08:30 WIB. The purpose of this activity was to prepare and assist in publishing scientific articles in reputable journals.
FTI invited Dr. Ing. Teguh Ariyanto, a lecturer from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Gadjah Mada University, as the speaker. The training began with an explanation of the meaning of publication, why publication is important for lecturers, and an overview of journal categorization.
Dr. Ariyanto then shared tips, strategies, and success secrets for getting scientific articles published in reputable journals. The training also discussed reasons why articles are often rejected by journals, offering insights into what should be avoided and how to increase the chances of acceptance.
The goal of this training was to motivate lecturers within FTI to publish their articles in reputable journals, thus increasing the quantity and quality of their scientific contributions.

Mendeley Training for FTI Lecturers
On Monday, October 21, the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta held a Mendeley training session in the Informatics Seminar Room for lecturers within the FTI environment. The aim of this training was to assist lecturers in learning reference management using Mendeley, an Open Source reference management application that can be accessed for free.
