Training on Lecturer Functional Position Application

In order to expedite the application process for functional positions for lecturers, the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta organized a socialization and training session on the application for functional positions, inviting the Head of Personnel at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Mr. Sukisman, as the speaker. The event was held on Tuesday, October 15, in the Informatics Engineering Seminar Room and was attended by all lecturers in the FTI environment. The Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Apriani Soepardi, S.TP., MT., opened the event and delivered a speech. In her remarks, she encouraged all lecturers to immediately apply for their functional position promotions. This effort is part of FTI's initiative to improve the quality of human resources, enabling them to compete with higher education institutions outside UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta.
Permanent lecturers at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, are full-time educators with permanent status at a specific higher education institution and are assigned a National Lecturer Identification Number (NIDN). To fulfill their obligations in carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, lecturers are expected to advance through various academic ranks, including Assistant Expert, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Professor. To advance in rank, lecturers must accumulate credit points according to the rank they wish to achieve. These credit points are earned by fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The goal of this socialization and training is to motivate lecturers within the FTI environment to promptly apply for their functional position promotions, which will have a positive impact on both the individuals and the institution of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta in the future.

Mendeley Training for FTI Lecturers
On Monday, October 21, the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta held a Mendeley training session in the Informatics Seminar Room for lecturers within the FTI environment. The aim of this training was to assist lecturers in learning reference management using Mendeley, an Open Source reference management application that can be accessed for free.
